GrafPunk crashes through the wall between prog rock and small-town Americana with its latest drop: the "Punk Floyd" t-shirt. This design is what happens when you let Floyd the Barber loose in a mosh pit at a Pink Floyd show.
Featuring a halftone explosion of CMYK dots that would make Andy Warhol jealous, the "Punk Floyd" design merges the psychedelic with the satirical. The vertical "PUNK" typography cuts through reality like Floyd's straight razor, while a digitally distorted "OOOOH!" echoes through the design like a backmasked message from the dark side of Mayberry.
"We wanted to create something that makes you do a double-take," says GrafPunk. "It's that perfect sweet spot where your dad's record collection meets your weird uncle's favorite TV show. The halftone dot pattern is deliberately pushed to the edge of chaos – just like good punk should be."
